The horse sponsorship program is to help care for one (or more) of the horses.  The average cost for feed alone ranges from $100-$150 per month per horse (this does not include additional costs for vet, de-worming, suppliments, farrier, etc..).  You may not be in the position to adopt a horse, but you can save a life by donating the cost of an at-risk horse and contributing towards its care, support and rehabilitation. 

With our sponsor a horse program, you are able to have your very own horse without the hassle of boarding, feed and maintenance expenses.  By simply making a monthly donation, you can select a horse to sponsor and have piece of mind knowing that your support is enabling a horse to have a fantastic life at Shannon's Companions.  For as little as $50 a month, your donation will help feed, board and provide health care for a horse.  YOU CAN make a difference!

The Sponsorship Program is for those that would like to become more involved in the rescue efforts of horses and those that really want a horse but just can't manage it for one reason or another but still want to be involved in a horses life and their care.  Many of the rescued horses that come to us are in need of additional feed, supplements or farrier care.  Caring for these special needs horses is both time consuming and expensive.  Some of them must stay at the rescue for many months to ensure they are healthy enough to leave and have adjusted to a new loving environment, some take more training than others due to abuse they have experienced.  Sponsoring is the support which allows us to keep the horses who are here until the right home is found.   Once adopted, your sponsorship can then be used to help another horse in need.  We understand that there are many people that would like to adopt a horse but have busy schedules, obligations or the lack of horse knowledge that would prevent them from adoption a horse.

The sponsorship form below can be pasted into an email and sent to us or you can print it out and mail it to us.  You can use our handy Paypal button located on our home page or the donation page (any form of payment can be used including credit cards) or if you choose you can mail a check or money order along with your sponsor form.

____$100/month    Your name will be posted on our site as a sponsor, monthly updates provided and a picture and history of your sponsored horse will be sent to you.  You will be designated a platinum sponsor.

____$200/month    In addition to the above benefits you will receive a t-shirt with your sponsored horse's picture on it and be able to make scheduled visits.  You will be designated a silver sponsor.

____$300/month   In addition to the above benefits you will be able to not only visit your sponsored horse but also be able to ride with supervision (if possible).  You will be designated a gold sponsor.

Sponsorship can be put towards a permanent resident and can be continued indefinitely, or you may sponsor a horse
available for adoption. When your horse is adopted your sponsorship rolls over to another of your choosing. Some of
our equines are here for a couple of months to sometimes years. They all need your help!!
